I LOVE this fixture. The quality and design are great. But if you made a brighter, dimmable version I would replace it even if it cost more. This one gives soft accent light. You can't read (or clean) with it. I put it in my front office with big windows. It looks amazing from outside the house. Since the office has glass doors, this light makes it look cozy from the hall when I'm not working. But you will need task light. Dimmable LED lights are pretty common these days, so you should really do that with this design.
